Effective 12 April 2025: Changes to usage of authorisation response codes 12 (Invalid transaction) and 15 (No such issuer). Effective 18 October 2025: Changes to use of Response Code 57 (Transaction not permitted to cardholder). Incorrect usage by issuer will result in Visa converting the response and send it to the acquirer as a generic response code decline. Visa transactions only. |
